Creating your own server for NSM is easy, and if you know any of the supported languages you can get started writing scripts right away.
Find out how to start your own NSM server! Issue a license key in AFX Portal and launch NSM-Server.exe.
Write server and client resources using any of NSM's first-class scripting runtimes:
Nope! NSM does not modify your Grand Theft Auto V installation files and never interacts with Rockstar Online Services other than validating your game ownership on startup.
Click Sign in inside NSM.exe. It will open the NSM website in your browser where you can sign in to your AFX account and automatically link your session back into NSM.exe.
Open AFX Portal, sign in to your account, generate a cfxk_... license key, and paste sv_licenseKey into your server's server.cfg.
Like the classic modification runtime, NSM initializes Steam integrations under App ID 218 (Source SDK Base 2007) so your Steam overlay, friends list, and rich presence work cleanly without conflicting with the base game.
